The iStudy tutorials are developed using a commercial product named SoftChalk. I have updated all the tutorials to SoftChalk version 9. This has one immediate impact and one long-term impact on the tutorials.

First, all the tutorials now use true responsive web design – so they adjust automatically to the screen size and resolution of the display device, be it a cell phone or a 60″ monitor. The normal vs. mobile versions of each tutorial no longer exist.

Second, all possible interactivities in SoftChalk are now HTML/JavaScript based. Flash is no long used. This means that many of the previous Flash-based activities that could NOT be used due to accessibility limitations may now possibly be used. I’ll need time to investigate all this, and then decide how and where I might add more interactivities to the tutorials. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
