Over two years ago, we embarked on a quest to revise all the iStudy tutorials. Not only was the HTML code obsolete, it posed many accessibility issues. Students who reviewed the tutorials said the content was sound, but the presentation was boring.
We also had two versions of iStudy - a web-based one that contained no interactivity, and an interactive version tied to our Learning Management System - ANGEL. That was not efficient.
Thus, we set out to revise iStudy and address these concerns. We knew it would take some time to do so, and for the past year or so the iStudy tutorials were a curious mix of the old and the new.
As of today, all the tutorials are revised and available to the public. There is just one version that may be used outside of ANGEL, or within it. We've worked diligently to ensure the web site and tutorials are accessible. We've added interactivity, webtoons, and other tidbits to increase engagement.
I remain convinced that one purpose of higher education is to teach people how to learn. iStudy can assist anyone in obtaining that goal. Enjoy.
